Founded on April 1, 2015 with a sole purpose of building infra-structures in Suryabinayak Municipality-4, the AGM of the Tribeni Sudhar Samaj has elected Ganesh Ghimire as new chairman.
Similarly Mahendra Khanal, Bhupal Acharya, Swaraswati Karki, and Bheshraj Kattel were elected as vice-chairman, secretary, joint-secretary and treasurer respectively.
The elected members of the committee include Prem Bahadur Karki, Madan Gautam, Dilip Bishunkhe, Rajendra Dahal, Narendra Ghimire and Rachana Mathema.
Other four members will be nominated by the first meeting of the Samaj to be held on September 26.
Similarly Keshab Achhami, the principal of Subaneshwar Lower Secondary School, has been unanimously elected as an advisor of the Samaj. The committee will also elect other advisors as per the requirement, Ghimire said.
The new central working body has been formed by dissolving ad-hoc committee which was formed six months ago. The ad-hoc committee of the Samaj registered regulations of the organization and laid gravel on the road for about 200 meters from Chundevi to Tribeni Chowk in collaboration with District Development Committee, Bhaktapur and organized greeting-exchange programs during New Year 2072, and Holi and Teej festivals.
Talking to Republica, newly elected Chairman Ganesh Ghimire said," I will extend transmission lines by putting up additional electric poles, lay gravel on the remaining part of the road from Tribeni Chowk to District Public Health Office, Bhaktapur and take initiative in managing drinking water supplies and drainage system in the locality."
Speaking after the election, Vice-chairman of the Samaj Mahendra Khanal said the newly elected body will hold regular meetings on first Saturday of every month.
Santosh Ghimire, immediate past Treasurer of the ad-hoc committee, presented fiscal report of the year 2071/72 BS, while Secretary Bhupal Acharya conducted the program chaired by Umesh Adhikari, former chairman of the Samaj, before a closed session began.

During the closed session an election panel was formed under the coordination of Hari Rijal in which Mohan Katwal and Suk Bahadur Tamang were members. The election panel exhibited its maturity by electing an inclusive, experienced and dedicated new working body.
The Samaj will gradually extend membership and look for ways to generate income in the days ahead to be independent financially, Chairman Ghimire told Republica.
The newly elected body will take charge for two years.
