BAGLUNG, Aug 28: The government of Gandaki province is planning to establish animal and agriculture collection centers in all wards of the province in five years’ time.
Inaugurating a veterinary hospital and livestock center in Baglung, Minister for Land Management and Agriculture of the province Lekhbahadur Thapa said that the government was aiming to promote the agriculture and livestock sectors in the province.

“The province’s main priorities are tourism, energy generation, agriculture and livestock farming,” Thapa said. “For better business opportunities in agriculture and livestock, we have planned to open collection centers in each ward of the province. For these sectors to grow, support needs to trickle down to the ward levels.”
“The provincial government has devised a model program for each municipality in the province to promote agriculture and livestock .” Minister Thapa said.
“The veterinary hospital will help in further research and development of manpower in this sector,” he added.
