KATHMANDU, June 28: Nepali Congress lawmaker Gagan Thapa condemned the Prime Minister’s opinion on long fought federalism. “Prime Minister Oli’s words are unacceptable and against the country’s constitution and the spirit of federalism,” Thapa said.

“This parliament is committed to protect federalism and we will defend it at all times,” the former health minister said. “If anyone is to infer PM Oli’s remarks, he’s for scrapping provincial and local bodies.”
