KATHMANDU, Sept 2: The Kathmandu Fun Park located at Bhrikutimandap paid the entertainment tax dues to Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) on Thursday, following a 24-hour ultimatum given by the KMC on Wednesday.
Shiva Adhikari, head of the revenue department of KMC, said that Fun Park has paid 1.7 million rupees in entertainment tax to the metropolis. On Wednesday, KMC gave a 24-hour ultimatum to Fun Park to clear the tax dues within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the KMC removed the digital hoarding board at the World Trade Center in Tripureshwor on Thursday. A Kathmandu municipal police team removed the digital hoarding board at the World Trade Center on Thursday afternoon while continuing to demolish illegal structures across the city.
The metropolis has started a campaign to remove digital hoarding boards stating that traffic accidents have increased in the city. Navin Manandhar, spokesperson for the metropolis, said that all hoarding boards that were placed illegally will be removed.
