KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Nepal Kyokushin Karate Do Association Bajra is organizing the 19th Men's National Open and 12th Women's National Weight Category Full Contact Karate Tournament from April 11 to 12. The two-day event will be held at the Dasharath Stadium's semi-covered hall, Tripureshwar. 

Speaking at a press meet in the capital on Friday, the association's Branch Chief Bikash Maharjan informed that 130 players including 90 in men's open and 40 in women's weight category will take part in the tournament. 

The champion of the men's open will win a purse of Rs 30,000 while the players finishing in the second, third and fourth places will be rewarded with Rs 15,000, Rs 7500 and Rs 3000 respectively. Similarly, the winner in the women's weight category will be given Rs 5,000 while the second, third and fourth placed finishers will be rewarded with Rs 2500, Rs 1200 and Rs 500 respectively.
