KATHMANDU, July 9: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) has stated that the constitution amendment bill registered in the parliament is incomplete, vague and it would not help in addressing the problems and demands of marginalized community.

Meeting of the FSFN office bearers on Sunday stated that there is no alternative to the constitution amendment to resolve the national political issues at present but stressed that the current amendment bill registered in the parliament was intended only for participation in the local elections.

The FSFN has also demanded for change or re-writing in the amendment bill.

The FSFN stance came at a time when the parties in the government and the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN), which has been demanding amendment prior to the local level elections in Province 2, have been busy in political meetings to garner two-thirds majority for endorsing the bill from the parliament.

The FSFN, led by Upendra Yadav, had participated in the first and second phases local level elections despite remaining firm on the agenda of constitution amendment.
