DANG, Feb 27: Freedom fighter and educationist Iswori Prasad Upadhyay passed away on Monday. He was 93.
Upadhyay hailing from Tulsipur-12, Kachila was the Nepali Congress leader. Acting as a Chairperson of the Urahari VDC for 18 years during Panchayat era, he had extended substantial contributions to the social development of the village.

Upadhyay had donated 12.06 hectare of land to a secondary school at Bangaun and also provided a leadership role for the establishment of Urahari Secondary School and Balmiteri Secondary School Bhojpur.
He is survived by four sons and a daughter. Nepali Congress Dang expressed grief over the passing away of Upadhyay. RSS
