DAILEKH, March 16: A free health camp organised by a team of doctors in Dailekh has benefited people from several hill districts in far-western Nepal. Orgsnisers of the health camp said that the camp was set up targeting economically weak people of Dailkeh, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Achham and other remote districts nearby.

A total of seventy-five needy people of five districts were provided with the free health check-up services while 1,231 people suffering from orthopedic-related problems also received free check-up.

An 18-member specialist squad from the Nepal Orthopedic Hospital had rendered the services.  A medical specialist from abroad was also in the team.

According to Narayan Municipality’s Mayor Loman Sharma, the service was meant for those who were unable to visit Kathmandu or outside the district to seek the service due to economic issue. Some cases have been referred to Kathmandu for surgery free of cost, the organisers said.
