KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Police have arrested 40-year-old Amar Bahadur BK of Myagdi on the charge of swindling people promising them jobs in Cyprus.
BK, the operator of Gongabu-based Amar-Sumitra Consultancy, was arrested by a team deployed from the Metropolitan Crime Division, Banasthali on Wednesday.
According to police, BK went out of contact after defrauding Uttam Kumar Shrestha of Okhaldhunga, Krishna Dhakal of Dhading, Chandre Bhupal Pun, Bal Bahadur Oli and Upendra KC of Rukum of Rs 445,000, promising them jobs in Cyprus.
BK has been sent to Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu for further action.
