Fragments launch ‘Angst’

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Following the release of the video ‘Finding Answers’, Extreme Progressive Metal (Djent) band Fragments released its first studio album titled ‘Angst’ amid a concert at Reggae Bar, Thamel on Saturday.


According to the press statement released by the band, the album was released through the hands of legendary musician Sarad Shrestha from Tumbleweed Inc.

The statement added that the band explained that angst is a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general to the audience so that they could relate to the music. 


The album consists of eight songs based on the subject matters of human emotions and powered by heavy riffs as well as structures based on mathematical calculations. The band has been producing powerful music since 2013, and it possesses technical as well as polyrhythmic style in their music alongside melodic and ambient elements. 


‘Angst’ is their latest release besides ‘Divergence EP’ last year. The event also saw an hour-long performance by the death metal band Binaash.
