Four of six absconds arrested in Dhanusha

JANAKPUR, Feb 2: Four out of six detainees who escaped by breaking the wall of the detention cell at the Area Police Office in Dhanusa have been arrested.

JANAKPUR, Feb 2: Four out of six detainees who escaped by breaking the wall of the detention cell at the Area Police Office in Dhanusa have been arrested.


The arrested are Binod Kumar Sharma,37, of Kshireshwornath Municipality-5, Harideep Singh, 25, of Mithila Municipality-2, Amit Mandal, 25 and Roshan Kumar Mahato, 25 of Mithila Municipality-6.

Spokesman and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Dhanusha, Pradip Bahadur Chhetri said that Binod, who is accused in a drug case, was arrested last night while he was hiding on the banks of Rato Khola in Mithila.


Harideep, who was detained for indecent behavior, was arrested on Tuesday night. Amit, accused in the same case, was arrested by the police on Tuesday afternoon. Similarly, Roshan was arrested in the same case on Monday evening. Last Sunday night, six people in various cases escaped by breaking the wall of the area police office.


District Police Office Dhanusha and Madhesh Province Police Office, Janakpur, said that the joint police team has launched a comprehensive search operation and is continuing to search for the other two absconds.
