KATHMANDU, July 27: Four ministers from the Nepali Congress (NC) took the oath of office and secrecy in the Bagmati Province government on Saturday.
Hari Prabha Khadgi, Suraj Chandra Lamichhane, Min Krishna Maharjan, and Bimal Thakuri took the oath of office and secrecy as ministers. They were administered oath of office and secrecy by Bagmati Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma.
Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama has reshuffled the ministers. Lama has reallocated responsibilities among ministers from his own party and has sworn in new individuals for the positions today.

Lama appointed Hari Prabha Khadgi to the Ministry for Social Development. Suraj Chandra Lamichhane has been given responsibility for the Ministry for Internal Affairs and Law, Min Krishna Maharjan for the Ministry for Youth and Sports, and Bimal Thakuri for the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Cooperatives.
CM Lama also reshuffled the ministers and appointed Kundan Raj Kafle as minister, removing Prabhat Tamang, who was previously appointed to the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Planning earlier on Thursday.
Earlier, Kafle had been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Development on Thursday. However, Kafle requested to be assigned to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, leading to the postponement of the swearing-in ceremony.
Hari Prabha Khadgi has taken over the vacant Ministry of Social Development after Lama transferred financial matters to Kafle. There was also controversy within the NC regarding the appointment of women as ministers.
