Four more COVID-19 related deaths recorded at Nepalgunj Medical College, taking Banke’s death tally to 93

NEPALGUNJ, April 27:The number of deaths due to the coronavirus infection in Banke district is increasing at a terrible rate as four more deaths were reported on Tuesday alone. 

A 72-year old female from Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-6 passed away while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College at 11:25AM on Tuesday. She had tested positive for the virus on Monday. According to the hospital administration, she died after her health deteriorated further. 

Similarly, another 74-year old female patient from Tulsipur Sub metropolitan City -9 of Dang district breathed her last at the same hospital. As stated by the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC), Banke, the elderly woman died on Tuesday morning at 6:15, a day after she was admitted to the hospital.

Nepalgunj Medical College also reported one more death. A 60-year old female died four days after she was admitted to the hospital. She was declared dead at 2:45 AM on Tuesday. 

Also, a 26-year old male from Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-3, succumbed to the virus at the pre-isolation ward of the hospital on Tuesday. He had been admitted to the hospital on Sunday and diagnosed with the disease the next day. According to Tej Oli, spokesperson for the DCCMC, Banke, the death tally linked to the coronavirus infection in the district has climbed to 93.
