DOLAKHA, Dec 14: Four people were killed when a tipper, Ba 2 Kha 6888, headed for Choprang from Galpa, skidded off the road and plunged some 250 meters down the road at Khadadevi-1 of Ramechhap district on Tuesday evening.
The deceased have been identified as tipper driver Kumar BK from Tatopani, Sindupalchowk, Rupesh Bhandari of Kapilkot, Sindhuli, Bikash Poudel of Sarlahi and Kiran Dangi of Dhapakel Lalitpur.
One of them died on the spot while the other three died on the way to hospital, said Police Inspector Prem Joshi of the District Police Office.
The tipper was carrying construction material for the Pakrbas-Galpa road section under the support of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
