Four including one Indian arrested with brown sugar

TIKAPUR, Feb 25: Police have arrested four people including one Indian national for their involvement in trafficking brown sugar.

Police on Monday confiscated 55.21 grams of brown sugar from them. According to Area Police Office (APO), Tikapur, Indian citizen Sukhdev Singh, 24, of Lakhimpur, India was booked from Tikapur-9, Khakraula during a police checking.

Singh, who is a driver by profession, was caught with 49.260 grams of brown sugar. Similarly, Nirajan Shahi, 25, of Tikapur Municipality-2, Nabin Karki, 24 of Asnehari and Bhawana Hamal, 19, of Geruwa Rural Municipality-2 were arrested the same day. Police confiscated 4.130 grams of brown sugar from Shahi and Karki while Hamal was caught with 1.820 grams of brown sugar.
