KATHMANDU, Oct 1: The Supreme Court has decided to acquit former Chief Justices Min Bahadur Rayamajhi, Anup Raj Sharma, Kalyan Shrestha and Sushila Karki in a contempt case.

A division bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR and Justice Sapna Pradhan Malla passed the order on Friday.

Advocates Dhanjit Basnet and Lochan Bhattarai had filed a contempt of court case against them on January 27 last year as they had issued a statement saying that the dissolution of the House of Representatives was unconstitutional.
