NUWAKOT, August 9: The bodies of four persons missing under the landslide debris at Pairebensi of Uttargaya rural municipality – 4, Rasuwa have been recovered.
The body of Dharma Bahadur Thapa Magar, who went missing after his house was swept away by landslide on Sunday night, was recovered on Tuesday evening.
75 – year – old Thapa Magar's body was found after a rescue team removed the rubble by using an excavator, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Phanindra Prasai said. The bodies of the rest were recovered on Monday.
Dharma Bahadur's daughter – in – law Muna, 33, four – year – old grandson Rabin and helper Bhakta Bahadur Nagarkoti, 78, were killed in the landslide. The condition of other four persons, who were injured in the incident, is reported to be out of danger.
The security forces rescued 27 families – 15 families buried in the landslide and 12 at risk – and relocated them to a residential shelter at the Upper Trishuli 3 A Hydro Power Project. RSS
