KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Police have arrested four people along with a large quantity of gold and silver jewelry from a shop in Nepalgunj. Narayan Dangi, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Banke, said that police have taken control of four people along with 34 tolas of gold, 10 and a half kilos of silver and a vehicle.
According to DSP Dangi, the owner of the seized gold and silver jewelry shop is currently absconding. Police have kept the name of the shop confidential as the investigation into the price, quality, and legality of the seized goods is ongoing.

DSP Dangi said that based on the information that a goldsmith of Bardiya was taking some gold and silver in his car, the police discovered a large quantity of gold and silver during the search operation.
DSP Dangi said that the trader said he had bought the jewelry from Nepalgunj and that he absconded after reaching the goldsmith to sell the jewelry .
