The investigation, initiated following a complaint regarding the inclusion of unsuccessful candidates in the practical exam who later passed, revealed glaring irregularities. Laxman Shahi, the former chief of the Transport Management Office in Dhangadhi, allegedly committed fraud during the driver's license examination by exploiting his official user ID.

According to the CIAA, Shahi tampered with the results of 180 candidates in the written test and 283 candidates in the practical test. Furthermore, it was discovered that Shahi's accomplices in these illicit activities were Narendra Kumar Kathariya, the Assistant Computer Operator, and Pawan Bahadur Rawal, the Computer Operator at the Transport Management Office in Dhangadhi. In light of their involvement in these unlawful actions, the CIAA has officially filed a corruption case against them in a special court on Friday.
