KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Former Captain of the Nepali National Cricket Team, Paras Khadka, has been elected Chairperson of Bagmati Province Cricket Association.
The second convention and general assembly of the Association held on Friday elected a 13-member new working committee led by Khadka. Khadka won the election defeating his rival Umesh Piya by nine runs.

He received 23 votes. Khadka is working committee member of Kathmandu District Cricket Association and Vice-Chairperson of Chitwan District Cricket Association.
Similarly, Prem Bahadur Chhetri has been elected to the post of Vice-Chairperson, Prashanna Shakya to the post of Secretary and Sanjay Basnet to the post Treasurer of the Bagmati Province Cricket Association.
Likewise, Ajaybir Pandey, Anil Adhikary, Sanjog Shrestha, Sujan Maharjan, Dhiraj Shrestha, Shekhar Shrestha and Basanta Raj Satyal are the members while Nira Rajopadhayay has been elected unopposed as a women member.
