Foreign Minister Paudyal pays a courtesy call on Sri Lanka PM

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Foreign Minister Dr Bimala Rai Paudyal has had a courtesy meeting with the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dinesh Gunawardena.

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Foreign Minister Dr Bimala Rai Paudyal has had a courtesy meeting with the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dinesh Gunawardena.


Minister Paudyal, who reached there to participate in the 75th Independence Day of Sri Lanka, held a meeting with the Prime Minister last night and discussed the mutual relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena promised to move forward with mutual support as there is an old friendship between Nepal and Sri Lanka.


Before the meeting with the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Dr Paudyal met Sri Lankan Foreign Minister MUM Ali Sabry.


On Friday, she participated in a cultural program organized on the eve of Sri Lanka's Independence Day.


Minister Paudyal participated in the flag hoisting and parade program organized on the occasion of Sri Lanka's Independence Day at sunrise this morning.


She will have a courtesy call on President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe this afternoon.
