KATHMANDU, June 21: Nepal Eventwalas (NEW) is holding their first event ‘Foodies Unite’ on Saturday at Trisara, Lazimpat. Recently established in 2017, NEW hopes to merge people’s ideas with their experiences through event management, conferences, corporate meetings, organizing trainings, educational workshops and recreational functions.

Foodies Unite is a recreational event with food, music and games solely held to provide a platform for the emerging and established restaurants to showcase their best dishes. They hope that the event will promote entrepreneurship and a healthy competition in the Nepali market. A variety of 12 cuisines will be available at the venue.

As per the press statement, the restaurants Achaar Ghar, Sarangi Vegetarian Restaurant, Darjeeling Mo:Mo, The Bakery Café, Southern Comfort, Mama’s Curries, ShaVi’s Fries, Hankok Sarang, Himalayan Bud, Ranjana Soda and Casa Mexicana will be setting up stalls at the event. Swoopna Suman and Nattu Shah (The Arbitrary Group), SOS Band, Jyovan Bhuju, YouTube star Roselyn Shrestha, Tashi Cheozum Lama and Accoustix Band will be performing at the event.

According to the press release, proceeds from the event will help raise funds for the Sadbhaw Scholarship, a fund that will help school students of Kagati, Nuwakot with their school materials.
