Food and medical supplies provided to poor and differently-abled in Mugu

MUGU, July 7: Anil Bania, a local social worker with the help of Mirai Global Education and Visa Service Nepal has distributed rice, salt and other food items to almost 100 families, suffering from poverty due to the enforced prohibitory order in Mugu district, following the spread of the second wave of COVID-19.

MUGU, July 7: Anil Bania, a local social worker with the help of Mirai Global Education and Visa Service Nepal has distributed rice, salt and other food items to almost 100 families, suffering from poverty due to the enforced prohibitory order in Mugu district, following the spread of the second wave of COVID-19. 


According to Bania, as many as 25 people who received the food supplies are differently-abled. Also, many of the families who received the needed supplies are residents of Khatyad Rural Municipality.

Earlier, relief supplies were also provided to the locals of Nuwakhet and Thamlek of ward 8 in the district. The team delivering the food and medical supplies had to walk for more than seven hours due to the bad condition of the roads to provide the help to the needy, Bania said. The supply of reliefs to the families was possible with the help of Umesh Khadka and Deepak Sigdel, he added.


Similarly, 100 sacks of rice were also distributed to the impoverished, orphans, the differently abled and Dalits in Kharka and Roll villages, Bania informed Republica. In addition, Bania said that he is in the process of gathering medical and food supplies for the affected families in the district as he has received many requests for help.
