TRISHULI, March 13: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Nuwakot chapter today has submitted a memorandum to Minister for Urban Development Arjun Narshing KC to set up a special economic zone (SEZ) in the district. 

The FNCCI Nuwakot chapter chair Tara Bahadur Karki has shared that they submitted the memo aimed at developing the zone as per the government's commitment to develop SEZ in various districts including Nuwakot. 

It may be noted that the government had prepared to set up SEZ in the district 12 years back but is yet to come into effect. 

The memo reads that the economic activities and local production would be promoted in the district if SEZ was established in the district. RSS
