KATHMANDU, June 29: Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is scheduled to embark on a six-day visit to China on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stated.
During the visit, the minister will attend the 13th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian city. This year’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions will be held under the theme ‘Leadership 4.0: Succeeding in a New Era of Globalization’ from July 1 to 3.
The minister will address the ‘Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders: Finding a New Footing for the Global Economy’ and also participate in the session titled 'Shaping the G20 Agenda for 2020’ on July 1, according to a press statement issued by the MoFA on Saturday.

He will speak in the two separate sessions entitled ‘Climate Change: The Next Financial Crisis?’ and ‘A New Balance of Power’ on July 2.
On the margins of the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, he will also hold meetings with political as well as business leaders, the ministry said in the statement.
Wrapping up his visit to Dalian, Gyawali will leave for Beijing on July 3. The foreign minister will hold meetings with top Chinese authorities in Beijing.
During the visit, he will be accompanied by Ambassador of Nepal to China Leela Mani Paudyal and officials from the MoFA and Nepali Embassy in Beijing. Minister Gyawali will return to Kathmandu on July 5.
