Flood submerges 500 houses

RAJBIRAJ, Aug 28: The flood-fed Saptakoshi River has inundated around 500 households in Saptari district. 


Most of the human settlements from Jaminiya to Rampura Malahaniya of Hanumannagar Kankalani municipality and in ward 3 and 4 of Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality have been waterlogged due to flooding in the Saptakoshi last night, shared Assistant Sub Inspector at Police Office Hanumannagar, Chandrasagar Kerung.

The flood survivors were rescued and kept at safer places in Bhardaha Kunauli road side this morning. 


Chairperson of Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality Satish Kumar Singh shared that the flood also has submerged paddy planted over 300 bighas. 


The human settlements located in the east, west and southern belt of the municipality office have been adversely affected. Also inundated were the office of Hanumannagar Kankalini municipality office and Lilaza Thakur Primary School. RSS
