KATHMANDU, April 16: The 21st Flora Expo-2018 which started from April 13 at Bhrikutimandap will conclude today. The event is organized every year by the Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN) with the slogan of “clean environment and economic prosperity through floriculture”.
“The objective of the fair is to share knowledge about floriculture among those interested in the field and to promote, develop and highlight floriculture business in Nepal,” FAN president Kumar Kasaju Shrestha said.
21st Flora Expo kicks off in Kathmandu
Floriculture business, which started in Nepal some six decades ago, has a good market at present and has been expanded to 41 districts. Over 43,000 people are associated with this business.
There were 82 stalls in the expo. Participating nurseries shared that while there were ample visitors, sales were low.
Here are different types of flowers available in the exhibition.
