Are you bored with same old taste at home? Are you the one looking for food with different flavors? If your answer is yes, then Int’l Food Tasting Event 2019 (IFT 2019) is the event to be at.


IFT 2019 is organized every year by the BHM students studying in Academy of Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management at college premises, Lagankhel. This is the third edition of food festival. It began on February 11 and will continue for 11 weeks held on every Saturdays.


One gets to taste cuisines of five different countries namely Russia, Malaysia, Brazil, Korea and Germany. The cost of food in the festival is affordable that begins with Rs 350.


German Cuisine

Germany is a land full of culinary delights. Cozy gatherings with delectable food are the essence of German Gemütlichkeit (comfort and coziness).Old World techniques of food preservation through salting, smoking, curing, or pickling are still common way of preparing fish, meats, and vegetables.

Malaysian Flavor


Malaysia is a country with rich culture. Malay food is strong, spicy and aromatic, combining the rich tastes of the many herbs and spices commonly found in Southeast Asia.


Most try: Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng


Russian Delight


Russian cuisines are unfamiliar amidst Nepali.  But they are lip-smacking healthy dishes. Russian food has diversity as flavors in Russian cuisine are influenced from Europe, Asia and Middle-East taste. Meat, poultry, and fish, as well as soup, salad, cooked vegetables are mostly found in main dishes.


Most try: Borsch, Chicken Ala Kiev


Brazilian food


Brazilian cuisines are inspired from Portugal, Africa, and native food. So, root vegetables are commonly used and fruits are used extensively, even in savory cooking.


Most try: Vinagrete, Feijoada


Korean Taste


Korean food is considered one of the healthiest foods. Meat is cooked without using much oil, they give priority to fresh vegetables along with fermented vegetables. Kimchi, fermented vegetable, is a must have side dish in Korean dishes.


Most Try:  Gimbab, Dakdoritang
