KATHMANDU, April 18: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee under the Federal Parliament here today has unanimously endorsed the name of five persons recommended as justices of the Supreme Court.
The meeting held in Singh durbar approved the names of Prakash Kumar Dhungana, Sushma Lata Mathema, Hari Phunyal, Kumar Regmi and Manoj Kumar Sharma as the justices of the apex court.
Dhungana and Mathema are sitting judges at High Court while three others are legal practitioners.
There were five complaints against these proposed justices. During the hearing, the candidates committed to making the justice delivery prompt and easily accessible.
