KARNALI, Oct 24: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the ruling five-party alliance has safeguarded constitution and federalism, calling the alliance a historical necessity.
Addressing the Karnali Province-level joint gathering of ruling alliance’s cadres in Birendranagar of Surkhet on Sunday, PM Deuba said the alliance will continue for long since the change-making forces have stood in the same position.
“The alliance was formed to challenge the trend of breaching the constitution. There is no option to unite to get victory over such a move. I urge the candidates to withdraw their candidacies filed against the ruling alliance candidates,” the PM said.
The PM was of the view that the alliance was further realized in Karnali, while asking the leaders and cadres of the ruling alliance to devote themselves for this.

On the occasion, PM Deuba assured the gathering to show the result within five years if the ruling alliance was made victorious.
Also addressing the gathering, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the ruling alliance has seriously internalized the role played by Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces adding that revolt against regression was started from Karnali itself.
“This alliance was created against regression. This should not be construed lightly. The alliance has safeguarded constitution, federalism, democracy, republic and proportional inclusion. So, this alliance is against the encroachment upon the constitution,” Dahal added.
He expressed the confidence that the ruling alliance will win all seats in Karnali Province adding that the win was needed for development and political stability in Karnali.
Dahal asked the leaders and cadres to work by being dedicated instead of getting sensational.
Likewise, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal said that only the victory of the alliance can end poverty, hunger and lack of education and advance the country towards socialism.
Similarly, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel stated that the five-party alliance was formed against the unconstitutional move of UML Chairman KP Oli and asked the leaders and cadres to make the coalition parties’ candidates victorious.
On the occasion, Acting Chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha Rashmi Raj Nepali said that the country's development and prosperity was likely only from the victory of the ruling alliance.
