KATHMANDU, June 24: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal administered oath of office and secrecy to five new cabinet ministers at the President´s office in Shital Niwas on Wednesday afternoon.[break]
With this expansion, the number of ministers reached 27. Before the latest expansion, 16 cabinet ministers and six state ministers had assumed their office.[break]
Among the new ministers, two are from Tarai Madesh Democratic Party (TMDP), two from Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) and one from Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
Sharat Singh Bhandari and Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav are from MPRF, Ram Chandra Kushwaha and Ganesh Nepali are from TMDP and Dipak Bohara is from RPP.
The new ministers were sworn in without portfolio.
In a separate function, PM Nepal administered oath of office and secrecy to Man Bahadur Shahi of CPN (ML) as state minister for land reforms.
Although this is the third time that the cabinet has been expanded, the prime minister is yet to give full shape to the cabinet.
