KATHMANDU, April 6: Police have arrested five members of the same family with a huge amount of foreign currencies from the Tribhuvan International Airport, on Friday.
The Airport Police arrested Subash Shrestha, his wife; two daughters and a son during a security screening at baggage area of the Tribhuvan International Airport when they were preparing to board a Thai Airways flight bound for Bangkok.
They were found concealing the undeclared foreign currency notes worth 22,150 Thai Baht, 1380 Euro, 10,000 USD and 80,000 Chinese Yuan, according to the police. Seizing the undeclared foreign currencies, the police have started the probe into Shrestha's family.
