HETAUDA, Feb 1:  First provincial assembly meeting of province-3 is to hold in the then office Central Regional Education Directorate,Hetauda today. 

Following the call from Governor Anuradha Koirala, the meeting of the largest province in terms of representatives will convene at 1pm. Governors hold the constitutional authority to call and end sessions of provincial assemblies.

Province 3 will make a history on Thursday when it becomes the first among seven provinces to hold the assembly meeting. The assembly meeting will pave the way for formation of the provincial governments.

The venue was decorated till late on Wednesday for today’s meeting. In order to attend the meeting most of the province assembly members arrived at Hetauda a day before.

According to the provincial secretariat Roj Nath Pandey, the meeting is aimed to discuss over five specific agendas. It will discuss on the interim working procedure of the assembly and on the date for the election of the speaker and deputy speaker.

Dormani Poudel, as the senior most member of the 110-member assembly, will conduct the assembly meeting on the first day which will continue unless the elections of the speaker and deputy speaker take place.
