Fire in Khotang causes damage worth Rs 73 million

According to the police, fire has been brought under control with the help of local residents and firefighters and is conducting necessary investigations in this regard.

KHOTANG, Feb 17: A fire broke out at a house in Khotang on Sunday evening morning, causing Rs 73 million in damage.


According to police, the fire started on the first floor of Padamsher Rai’s house in Kathmandu Halesi Bazaar, Halesi Tuwachung Municipality, Khotang, where he operated a hardware shop. Similarly, the fire broke out in the Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha in the same house, and Aairakh Rai’s New Kalyan Hotel and house, the kitchen of Prakash Chandra Giri’s Halesi Darshan Hotel, and Bharansher Rai’s Paruhang Hotel, resulting in around Rs 73 million in damage.
