SOLUKHUMBU, Aug 29: Property worth more than Rs 1.1 million was destroyed when a house at Chyalsha in Dudhkunda Municipality-7 in Solukhumbu district caught fireon Monday night.
The fire broke out at the house belonging to Pasang Doma Sherpa reducing all the properties in the house to ashes, said Police Inspector Pradyumna Adhikari.
Police ascertained that the fire started from the log left to be put out in the biomass cook stove in the kitchen, added Inspector Adhikari.
No human causality was reported in the incident since Sherpa, who was sleeping alone in the house, woke up and fled to safety as the fire broke out, added Adhikari. RSS
