Fire breaks out at Mansha Thai Foods industry

MECHINAGAR, Feb 12: A fire broke out at Mansha Thai foods in Duhagadhi of Jhapa's Mechinagar Municipality-14 Saturday morning. The fire has not been extinguished yet.

MECHINAGAR, Feb 12: A fire broke out at Mansha Thaifoods in Duhagadhi of Jhapa's Mechinagar Municipality-14 Saturday morning. The fire has not been extinguished yet.


According to Lokraj Dhakal, district president of the Nepal Red Cross Society, the fire broke out at the industry at around 4 in the morning. Twelve fire engines from Jhapa, Morang, Ilam and Sunsari have been used to put out the fire. The fire has not been brought under control yet, said Dhakal.

A large number of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police personnel and locals are trying to douse the fire. Established in 2075 BS with an investment of Rs. 1 billion, the industry has been producing noodles including Magmag and Akbare.
