Finnish ambassador hand over water supply project to locals

GORKHA, Jan 30: A water supply project constructed with UNICEF’s cooperation has been handed over to the locals at Rangrung, Barpak Sulikot rural municipality-2 of Gorkha district. 

Ambassador of Finland to Nepal, Pertti Anttinen, on Tuesday handed over the project to the local water users committee. 

The project was constructed at a cost of Rs 815 thousand with support from UNICEF, president of the water users’ committee, Ram Bahadur Gurung, said. The locals have been benefitted with the construction of the water supply project. It has been constructed to address the shortage of water after the April 25 Gorkha Earthquake. It was built in partnership with Shree Swara Saghan Village Development Centre, Gorkha.
