KATHMANDU, June 5: A five-day financial literacy program was organized for quake survivors of Nuwakot from May 29 to June 2.
The event was organized in five VDCs of Nuwakot by Citizens Bank International Nepal Ltd in coordination with Louis Berger.
The program focused on participants ranging from youth to women and marginalized groups to people who live by the remittance.
The program was organized in Taruka, Fikuri, Gorkhu, Duipeepal and Ganeshthan VDCs.
“The VDCs are considered highly affected by the 2015 earthquakes.
The program delivered knowledge on banking procedure and management of saving and credit for a better prospect in investment,” the statement stated, adding that it also imparted participants with skills on budget planning of family and business for systematic involvement in productivity-led projects.
