KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel and USAID Administrator Samantha Power held a meeting on Wednesday.
Administrator Power held a meeting with Paudel at the Ministry of Finance in Singh Durbar on Wednesday. During the meeting, she stressed Nepal's economy, the expansion of relations between Nepal and the US, as well as the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) project.

Earlier on Tuesday, she also held a meeting with Foreign Minister Dr Bimala Rai Poudyal. She came to Kathmandu on Tuesday on a two-day visit to Nepal. She is scheduled to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal before wrapping up her visit to Nepal today.
Administrator Power is scheduled to hold a press conference this evening before returning home. Power visited Nepal less than a week after Victoria Nuland, the US State Department's deputy minister for political affairs, returned from a visit to Nepal. She is also a member of the National Security Council of the United States and is also a high-ranking official of the United States Cabinet.
