KATHMANDU, May 29: Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada has presented a total of Rs 1,532.96 billion budget for the fiscal year 2019/20.
Unveiling the size of the budget in the joint session of the Federal Parliament, the finance minister said that the government aims to utilize Rs 957.1 billion as recurrent expenditure.
Likewise, Rs 408.59 billion (26.6%) has been earmarked for capital expenditure and Rs 167.85 billion (11%) for financing provision. Similarly, from revenue Rs 981.13 billion, foreign grants Rs 57.99 billion, foreign loan Rs 298.83 billion and domestic borrowing Rs 195 billion.
