KATHMANDU, July 10: CPN-UML Task Force member Gokarna Bista has claimed that they will finalize  a deal to settle the intra-party disputes by Sunday.

Talking to media persons after the Task Force meeting on Saturday, Bista said that they hope to reach to consensus by Sunday since only a few issues are left to be resolved now. He said that the next meeting of the Task Force scheduled for Sunday will bring positive result, ending a months-long row between the party Chairman K P Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The Task Force meeting has been scheduled again for Sunday as the meeting on Saturday could not finalize all issues of differences. The Task Force members, however, argued that the series of talks held at the Task Force level had created an environment of trust to settle their differences.

Earlier, a Task Force comprising the leaders close to Chairman Oli and senior leader Nepal was formed to settle the dispute seen between the two top leaders of the party. The Task Force has already held a series of meeting in a bid to bury their differences.

Arguing that the unity of the UML is the need of the hour, Bista argued that the Task Force has become serious towards resolving the differences. "We have arrived at the final stage of conclusion. There are still a few issues pending. We have already reached to consensus on nearly half a dozen issues. Positive result in all sense will come tomorrow," he said.
