KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The Nepal National Entrepreneurs Federation has demanded waiver of house rent for the entrepreneurs and business persons hit hard by the government-enforced lockdown and restriction to suppress the transmission of coronavirus.
Issuing a press release today, Federation chair Naresh Katuwal called for exempting house rent during the period of around six-month-long lockdown and restriction as the business and enterprises are on the verge of collapse in the critical period.

“We demand a complete waiver of interest of banks and cooperatives for the period of lockdown and restriction and also call for providing loan without collateral at five percent interest rate for the protection of COVID-affected industries and businesses,” he added.
