KATHMANDU, Nov 11: The Federal Alliance (FA), which has been demanding amendment to the constitution, has boycotted a Legislature-Parliament meeting on Friday.

Senior leader of the Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal (FSF-N), which is associated with the FA, walked out of the Parliament saying that the government failed to act in line with the three-point deal sealed between the Madhesi parties before the formation of the government.

United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) had decided to walk out of the parliament meeting from today as part of their symbolic protest to press the government to register constitution amendment proposal in the parliament by mid-November.

However, the Parliament meeting is underway. The lawmakers have started deliberation on the impeachment motion filed against now suspended Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki.

It is likely taht the House will  take 45 days to decided on the impeachemnt issue as the  Impeachment Recommendation Committee has not finalized the Terms of Reference (TOR) of the committee yet.
