Major opposition Nepali Congress has concluded that the recent statements made by the government and Chairman of Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal on the ongoing crisis of Venezuela were "insensitive" and "immature" and "detrimental to country's national interests".

PHC seeks complaint against proposed chiefs of constitutional bodies

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has sought for complaints against the five chairpersons of constitutional bodies despite discontent from the Nepali Congress, the main opposition. Nepali Congress had handed over a note of dissent against the PHC’s decision to recommend five chairpersons in its absence. 

Gangster Raju Gorkhali arrested for extorting higher rent price

The Metropolitan Police Crime Division has arrested gangster Raju Gorkhali from New Baneshwor. Gorkhali was arrested after a complaint was lodged against him from businessmen working in Kathmandu Mall, according to SSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh, chief of the Division.

The Metropolitan Crime Division of Nepal Police received 926 complaints relating to cyber crime to date in the current fiscal year. The cyber crimes are the criminal activities carried out with the use of computers and the internet.
