UML agrees on HoR candidates under PR

CPN-UML has finalized the name of the members of the parliament for House of Representatives under Proportional Representation electoral system. The party has confirmed 6 Dalits, 10 indigenous, 11 Khas-Aarya, 6 Madheshi, 2 Tharus and two Muslim members to represent the party in the parliament. Likewise, 4 male members will also represent the party.

Only 21 of 174 assigned employees report for work in Province-2

The works of the province legislature and executive bodies have been affected as only 21 out of 174 civil servants assigned to these bodies have reported for work in Province-2. 

'40 per cent people lack access to electricity'

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy Kamal Thapa said that 40 per cent people in the country are still deprived of electricity supplies and that the government was working to generate electricity across the country in the next five years. Thapa also said that the government was preparing to develop 17,000 megawatt power in a decade.
