CPN-UML has finalized the name of the members of the parliament for House of Representatives under Proportional Representation electoral system. The party has confirmed 6 Dalits, 10 indigenous, 11 Khas-Aarya, 6 Madheshi, 2 Tharus and two Muslim members to represent the party in the parliament. Likewise, 4 male members will also represent the party.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy Kamal Thapa said that 40 per cent people in the country are still deprived of electricity supplies and that the government was working to generate electricity across the country in the next five years. Thapa also said that the government was preparing to develop 17,000 megawatt power in a decade.
Action will be taken against 10 members of Myanmar’s security forces in connection with the killing of captured Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine state, a government spokesman said, adding it was not related to a Reuters report on the incident.
