Father held on rape charge

SURKHET, Aug 21: Police have arrested Junga Bahadur Sunar, 34, on the charge of raping his teenage daughter from Birendranagar, Surkhet.

According to Police, Sunar is her step-father.

The child said she had been continuously sexually abused since Baisakh. Sunar had threatened to kill her if she reported to anyone.

The incident came out when she was consulted at her school as she was unable to concentrate on her studies and often cried.

On Monday, Police have extended the date from District Court for further investigation.
