Father arrested for ‘raping’ daughter

KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested a father for allegedly raping his own daughter at Sarada Municipality-12 in Salyan district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad from the District Police Office, Salyan, arrested the 39-year-old from his own home. The police are yet to disclose the identity of the arrested.

According to police, the arrestee has been presented before the Salyan District Court. “The court has allowed the police to keep the arrested in custody for 10 days for further investigation into the case,” according to the district police.
