Yeti Airlines narrowly escapes accident at Bhairahawa airport

KATHMANDU, Mar 18: An aircraft belonging to Yeti Airlines has narrowly escaped an accident at Gautam Buddha Airport, Bhairahawa on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Mar 18: An aircraft belonging to Yeti Airlines has narrowly escaped an accident at Gautam Buddha Airport, Bhairahawa on Sunday.


The landing gear of the plane was locked on the runway while landing at the airport. The plane took off  from Kathmandu at 4.40 pm and was scheduled to land at Bhairahawa around 5:10 pm.

All 26 passengers on the aircraft including the cabin crew are safe, informed SP Shyam Gyanwali, of the district.


The other flights bound for Bhairahawa airport were affected due to the incident including a flight of Buddha Air which was held in the sky for about 35 minutes before it diverted back to Kathmandu.
