KATHMANDU, June 29: Nepal is observing the 18th National Rice Day and Transplanting Festival on Tuesday.

This day is observed as a special day for paddy plantation by farmers.

Rice is one of the major food crops and staple diet that is cultivated across the country in Nepal.
