KATHMANDU, May 21: Members of the House of Representatives have demanded the government carry out a fair probe into an incident ended in the killings of nine people in Panchthar last night and find out the guilty.
Speaking in a zero hour of the Lower House session today, Pushpa Bhusal expressed her tributes to those murdered in the incident, seeking proper treatment and protection of a girl who managed to escape the death.

Nine people of two families were murdered by (an) unidentified people in the incident. Devendra Raj Kandel sought the Home Minister’s reply about it publicly. Tek Bahadur Basnet informed the session that three people had died in the forest fire spread in Salyan from May 10 to 17 which also caused a huge property loss. He demanded relief to the bereaved families, compensation to the affected and the proper treatment of the injured.

Nepali Congress chief whip Bal Krishna Khand urged the government to address the demands of agitating nurses and teachers, seeking professional rights while Parbati DC Chaudhary expressed her concerns over the use of police force in the peaceful agitation of nurses. ---
